About Me!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I have a degree in Communications from the University of Miami, with a double major in print journalism and Latin American Studies. I currently reside in North Carolina with my husband and cat, Scout.

I have worked in the non-profit sector for over 17 years as a fundraiser and special events coordinator. I work full-time as the Development Manager for a Charter School foundation in North Carolina. As Development Manager, I develop and implement comprehensive fundraising programs that include special events, marketing, public relations, direct mail appeals, planned giving, grant writing, social media and more.

I started my blogs, The Art of Random Willynillyness and Carolyn in Carolina, in 2009. I started them on a lark and almost 3 years later, they are still going strong.

This blog is for reviews, giveaways and other random information I want to share with my loyal readers. I love reviewing all types of products that are relevant to me and my readers.

My personal blog deals with my life as a Latina/Tica (costa rican) city girl living in the country. I mainly blog about my life, cooking, gardening and our travels.

I also am the Event Planner for Stiletto Media, a Blogger Network that connects brands and PR with influential bloggers via a variety of campaigns.
