Clean Happens - Better Life Green Cleaning Products GIVEAWAY

A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to win a giveaway for Better Life Green Cleaning Products. I had never ever heard of this company but y'all know how much I love to enter and win giveaways. So I entered because recently I have also been trying to green up my life. I have been trying green products to see if they stack up to the regular chemical stuff. I got lucky and won!!

First, a little background on Better Life. The company was started by two dads, Tim Barklage and Kevin Tibbs, who wanted products that would be good for their kids, your kids, and our planet.

From their site:
Our household cleaning products aren’t just made for moms and dads; they’re also for Mom Earth. We want a safe place for our families to live in and a safe planet to live on. Better Life products can make that happen. Maybe it’s only a scrubber. Or just a nursery cleaner. Still, the wisdom is spot on: One person can make a difference.

We are a new and exciting company that is revolutionizing the household cleaning products industry. Our products are free of petrochemicals, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), solvents, dyes, synthetic fragrances and other harmful substances. Using renewable resources, we harness the power of mother nature to create a product that performs like no other.

How great is that?

When I finally received my Better Life products they went on my cleaning supply shelf until I ran out of what I was using. We have hardwood floors throughout the house so I bought one of those hardwood floor cleaning mops with the liquid and for a few months they worked fine. But then few weeks ago I noticed that all of a sudden the floors were harder and harder to clean. Somehow the chemicals in the cleaner had probably taken off some of the wax on the floor and it became sticky and tacky. I tried everything short of sanding and refinishing to get it off. It didn't work. Well, one day I was looking for the cleaners and I saw my Better Life products. They have a product called "Simply Floored." I decided to give it a try.

Let me tell you it worked!!! I squirted the Simply Floored on the trouble spots in the bedroom and office and it cleaned them right up. All the stickiness and tackiness came right up. I was "simply floored" at how well it worked. I continued cleaning all the floors in the house and they got very clean and looked great. They got clean and shiny and I was so happy.

My next problem spot is my sink. Now you might find this crazy but I LOVE my sink. It's is one of the best features in my house. It is a huge black Jacuzzi sink that can fit a baby or a medium-sized dog. So many times we prefer washing our dishes by hand instead of the dishwasher because we love the sink. But the problem is that I want to keep it looking good and because it's black all imperfections show up. So I tried the "Even the Kitchen Sink" gentle scrubber. It was great. It cleaned the whole sink with no scratching.

The other products I had won were the "Whatever" all purpose cleaner and the "I Can See Clearly" glass cleaner. These products were good as well. They smell great and I don't have to worry that when I clean the cats might get sick because of the cleaning products. Overall, I am impressed with the whole line. The best part though is that they are good for the environment. And let me tell you, after watching "An Inconvenient Truth" I am all about reducing my carbon footprint and doing my part in slowing down the destruction to the planet.

I loved these products so much, I wrote the Better Life people and told them so. I love finding new products and if I really like them, I will send a note to tell the company. They were happy with my comments and were nice enough to offer me a Better Life Starter Kit to giveaway to my readers. I jumped all over that because as much as I love winning stuff, I like giving it away. So one of you will get this kit and it's fantastic. The giveaway I won didn't come with the tote or the Twist sponges so you guys lucked out!! I also think that more people should be aware of these products and try them. Not only do they clean well but they are good for the Earth. I truly believe that if we all make one change to become greener, it's a positive thing for everyone.

So if you want to win this great pack of products, read the rules below and start commenting. Good Luck!!

  1. wow these products sound great! I dont have a little one, but really would like to try the 2AM product. You see I have Multiple Sclerosis and many of us are bothered by the fumes from bleach. We are always trying to find good Natural cleaners. This would be awesome if it worked. I would love to even just get a sample of this.
