Progresso High Fiber Soup Review

Thanks to MyBlogSpark, I had the opportunity to sample two of the new High Fiber Progresso soups. Progresso is introducing this new High Fiber line that includes four varieties: Chicken Tuscany; Creamy Tomato Basil; Hearty Vegetable and Noodles; and Homestyle Minestrone - all with no added MSG, no artificial flavors and seven grams of fiber per serving.

I received a can of the Creamy Tomato Basil and the Chicken Tuscany. These new soups have 28% of the daily fiber intake per serving and will be available sometime in August. Besides the soups, MyBlogSpark sent me a new Flip Mino HD to tape my review. The Flip is a wonderful little camera. It is small yet makes fantastic videos. It will film for 60 minutes. It is Mac/Windows compatible. Best of all, it is easy to use and creates great videos.

So here is my Vlog about Progresso Soups:

I really enjoyed my lunch. I ate the Chicken Tuscany the day before and tried to film it but accidentally deleted it. Oops. I am just not that technical even though the Flip is easy to use. The Chicken Tuscany soup was equally delicious. There were big chunks of chicken, beans and veggies and the perfect blend of spices as well. These soups are terrific and healthy as well. Unlike other soups, I find these to be substantial and filling. They taste great. I have eaten Progresso soups for a long time and I am never disappointed. The quality is fantastic.

I really want to thank MyBlogSpark for the opportunity to try these new Progresso soups. They are delish and I can't wait until I can buy them in August. I also want to thank them for the Flip Mino HD, which will be put to good use especially on my blog. And as you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed my Creamy Tomato Basil Soup!!! YUMMO!

Starbucks Ice Cream

So I am at the grocery store the other day and have a coupon for Starbucks Ice Cream that I found in my Sunday insert. So I am wavering on whether or not I should buy it or just walk away and never look back. Hello! Of course, I bought some. I snagged some Mocha Frappucino Ice Cream. Now I knew it would be good because how can you go wrong with Mocha and Coffee.

I get home and have some and it is truly delicious. Delicious enough that I wanted to tell people about it. It tastes exactly like a Mocha Frappucino should. I am a fiend for those Mocha Frappucinos but we have no Starbucks in our teeny town although I heard one did or might open at the University. But who needs to go there when I can get my fix from the ice cream? I can't believe it's as good as it is. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of drinking a frappucino on a hot summer day with my pal Kathryn.

So if you love Starbucks, go try this ice cream. I highly recommend it. I just wish I can find more coupons for it because I know I will be buying some more!! YUMMO.

Grill Wizard Review

We love to grill out during summer, all the time. Our grill gets filthy especially when I marinade the meat or chicken. There is so much gunk left on the grill it's ridiculous. Just the other day, the grill wasn't working because of the buildup.

Luckily, I had the opportunity to review a grill brush: the Grill Wizard . The Grill Wizard is a pretty nice grill brush with some cool features. One of the things I liked was the long handle so I could get it down under the grill and clean the burners. The Grill Wizard also has detachable parts. The scouring head detaches from the handle and the scouring pad detaches from the scouring head for easy clean up. Plus the scouring pad can be easily replaced with a new one. The scouring head also has an edge scraper for the pesky grime that is hard to get off the grill. All parts can be thrown into the dishwasher.

Look at this dirty grill. I, well Tom because I don't do grills, used the Grill Wizard and it did a pretty good job. What Tom liked is that it is sturdy. Most grill brushes just don't clean well because the brush is too short and doesn't hold up to the scrubbing so they don't do the job. But the handle is very strong and held up to the scrubbing it took to get the grill clean. The scouring pads on the Grill Wizard also do a great job and cover a lot of surface. Now it took a lot of Tom's elbow grease but it came clean. The scouring pad took a beating and we will have to use the replacement for the next cleaning but our grill was really bad. But look at the results. The grill looks spotless.

The Grill Wizard costs $39.95 which I find a little steep for a grill brush. But it works well and this brush will last a long time and does a good job so it's just a matter of personal taste and finances.

I want to thank Grill Wizard for letting me try their product. My grill hasn't been this clean for a long time!!

Are You Prepared? Shelf Reliance Review and Giveaway!

If you have read my other blog, you will know that I have lived through three hurricanes when I lived in Florida. I actually went through Hurricane Andrew that hit South Florida and it wasn't pretty. Ever since, I have been all about be emergency preparedness. Tom also lived through Hurricane Andrew so both of us know the importance of having the correct supplies on hand and to plan for anything that may happen.

That's where Shelf Reliance comes in. The past few months as I trolled the Internet for blog giveaways and just reading different blogs, I discovered Shelf Reliance. I kept seeing giveaways from the company offering cool products that I found myself interested in. From their website: SHELF RELIANCE is a company that specializes in food storage, storage rotation, and emergency-preparedness products. Our goal is to help families prepare for whatever tomorrow may bring, so they feel confident if disaster strikes. We believe in educating people so you can become self-reliant.

Of course, I had to go check it out for myself. It is amazing what this company has in store for you. Not only do they sell supplies but they have full food storage systems as well. The food rotation systems include free standing shelving systems, CanSolidator pantry systems and ready racks. They also have pre-assembled emergency kits for the whole family. They are filled with everything you need in an emergency. All you do is buy and it is ready. The coolest thing that they sell is Thrive Food. The food is freeze dried and packed in containers to keep it fresh. They have eggs, vegetables, grains, fruits and more. It is pretty amazing stuff. They even feature recipes on their site.

Now, you are probably saying why do I need this? Well, let me tell you after living through natural disasters without electricity or water for a few days, we were glad we were smart enough to have the supplies needed to make it through a few days. And Hurricane Katrina showed us that sometimes even the government does not have the resources to help everyone. Shelf Reliance just makes it easier because you can find everything you need in one place. So emergency preparedness and food storage are things everyone should take seriously.

I already have my eye on several items at Shelf Reliance. I love the the Providence Essential Two Person 72-hour Emergency Kit and the Gift baskets. I also am considering buying some of the basic foodstuffs, just in case. I would love to have some of the Thrive food in my garage because if something were to happen at least we would be able to feed ourselves until help came. The prices aren't bad either. The Providence Two Person Kit is only $249.99. That seems like a lot of money but, trust me, if you were to buy all these supplies separately, it would cost so much more. I know because when we lived in Florida, we spent hundreds of dollars before Hurricane season to stock up.

Well, Shelf Reliance was nice enough to give me the opportunity to try one of its products: the CanSolidator Pantry. This little baby is a dream come true because I have absolutely no pantry space and needed something to organize it. Yes, folks, that picture to the right is MY pantry and it's a big fat mess because I just don't have space so I just jam stuff in and never know what I have or don't have.

The CanSolidator Pantry features something they call SmarTrac technology that automatically rotates up to 40 cans. It is adjustable so you can set it to hold cans of all one size or various sizes. I had Tom set it up for 3 sizes including the large sized cans and the little cans of kitty food. I didn't assemble it myself but watched as Tom did. After he did all the work, I realized it was so easy I could have done it myself but was glad I didn't. ;) It is really sturdy and slipped right into the pantry with no problem. I really liked it and it has saved me so much space that I was able to organize the pantry and make it work for me. I am hoping to buy another one to even make it more organized. I really like the fact that it adjusted for the little tiny kitty food cans because I never can find a place for them and now I know exactly where they are. Fantastic!

So if you are like me and feel the need to be prepared and have supplies on hand for any emergency or just because it's the smart thing to do, you need to visit Shelf Reliance and take a look around. You also need to start preparing for any emergency.

Here comes the best part. Shelf Reliance not only gave me the opportunity to review this product but they are letting one of my readers win one for their pantry. YAY! This is a fantastic item and I know that if you have pantry issues, like I do, you will love it as well. If you want to own one of these, just follow the entry rules and enter!!

REVIEW: Rock of Ages Original Broadway Cast Recording

I was recently chosen to participate in a promotion to review of the Rock of Ages Original Broadway Cast Recording through the One2One Network. Rock of Ages was nominated for 5 Tony Awards and features American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis. Set in 1987, it is a story of "a small town girl meets a big city dreamer and they fall in love to 80's music." You would think that might not be a great premise for a Broadway show but it works. It certainly isn't your typical Broadway musical but it seems musicals have changed and the trend to use music that is not written for the show seems to be catching on. You are sure to recognize most or all of the 22 songs on the CD. The CD features the music of Journey, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more:

Here is the listing:
Just Like Paradise / Nothin' But A Good Time
Sister Christian
We Built This City / Too Much Time On My Hands
I Wanna Rock
We're Not Gonna Take It
Heaven/More Than Words / To Be With You
Waiting For A Girl Like You
Wanted Dead Or Alive
I Want To Know What Love Is
Cum On Feel The Noize / We're Not Gonna Take It (Reprise)
Harden My Heart / Shadows Of The Night
Here I Go Again
The Final Countdown
Any Way You Want It / I Wanna Rock (Reprise)
High Enough
I Hate Myself For Loving You / Heat Of The Moment
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Can't Fight This Feeling
Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Oh Sherrie
The Search Is Over
Don't Stop Believin'

These are the songs I grew up listening to years ago so I really enjoyed the CD. Now the songs have been cut to fit the show and lyrics changed. And if you are expecting the songs you are used to hearing, it might be a let down. By no means are the vocals bad but they are different from the original songs. But for the most part listening to this CD brought back some good memories of when I was much younger and it was a lot of fun. I also have to say that if I am ever in New York, I would love to see this show on Broadway. It is just a fun CD!!

The CD is in stores now. You can also buy it online. So if you are ready to rock, check out this CD.

Skin Free Review and Giveaway

I am not a girly girl but I LOVE any bath & beauty products. I love soaps and I love lotions, body butters, scrubs and all that jazz. So when I got to opportunity to try Skin Free Products, I was thrilled. I also wanted to try them because they are made with all natural ingredients and at this point in my life, I am liking natural stuff.

Skin Free Products are a skin care products made for people with delicate, sensitive or extremely dry skin. They are:

* Made with all Natural Ingredients
* No Harmful Chemicals or Preservatives
* No Fragrance
* No Petroleum Products
* No colorants
* They don't practice animal testing (YAY!)
* No Steroids

Skin Free Products are also recommended for people with:
* Extreme Dry Skin
* Skin or Fragrance Allergies
* Psoriasis
* Dermatitis
* Eczema
* Pregnant Moms
* Babies
* The Elderly
* Diabetics
* Renal Patients
* After Radiation or Chemotherapy

To learn more, please visit their site. It details the type of ingredients that are used and why this line of skin care is so unique and good for you.

I love soap and I like fragrant soaps when I take a shower but I found that some of these soaps aren't great for my face because they have too many chemicals or fragrance that cause my skin to dry out. So I decided to try the Extra Moisturizing Soap to wash my face. I loved it. After washing, my face felt clean and moisturized. The rest of the day, it was still smooth and fresh. After a few days of using the soap, my face remained feeling smooth and silky. I loved it.

I have wickedly dry elbows so I used the Niaouli Butter Stick every morning on them to see if they would smooth out. The Butter Stick was great. It targets the one area I want, when I want. After a few days, I noticed an improvement on my elbows. The real test will come in winter.

I also tried the Super Moisture Body Balm. It was different to say the least. It is like a really watery lotion but a little greasy. This is not a product I need in the summertime because it is to rich and creamy. I could see myself using this in the wintertime when my skin gets super duper dry and flaky. I can't wait until winter to get the full benefit.

My favorite product was the After Shower Moisture Spritz. I loved it because I was able to spray it all over my body and it went on easily. I spray it on after the shower then towel off like the instructions state. The rest of the day, my skin stays moist and silky. It kept my skin soft even after being out in the sun. I really liked that.

Overall, I liked the Skin Free products. I also really liked that they are natural and have no harmful ingredients. That goes a long way in my book! I will definitely buy these when I run out especially when winter comes. I also spied some other great products that I didn't review but want to try like the Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub, the Green Clay Mask and the Corrective Face nectar. These products look great as well.

If you want to try these products, Skin Free products are available at http://www.skinfree.net/ as well as certain CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens stores. Right now, Skin Free has a great BOGO offer going on if you shop at Walgreens. Shop on their site now and get Free Shipping on any order of $25 or more.

But wait there's more! Thanks to Julie Hilton, founder of Skin Free, you could win a $30 gift certificate to Skin Free and choose the items you want. Thanks Julie!! Just follow the rules and enter!! Easy peasy, lemon squeesy. Who wouldn't want to try these products? It's good stuff!!

Salada Tea Review and Giveaway!!!

I am a tea fanatic. In fact, one of my lifelong dreams has been to open up a little tea house where I could serve tea and little tiny sandwiches. I love tea sandwiches and now that my garden is producing fresh cucumbers, I can have cucumber/cream cheese sandwiches all the time. Yes, it sounds weird but there is something so soothing and civilized about drinking tea! I love all types of tea especially green tea.

A few years ago, I started drinking a lot of green tea. My sister is a vegetarian, yoga loving, organic health chick who told me that green tea is fabulous for a lot of what ails me. Since I already loved tea, it began to make sense to drink green tea. The health benefits of Green Tea are impressive and you should check them out. Besides, green tea is absolutely delicious. I have tried many brands but the one I kept coming back to was Salada Tea.

I have used Salada Tea for years because it's easy to find at the grocery store and it is, in my opinion, high quality tea that tastes great. I have never had a problem finding it and it is always in my pantry. Recently, thanks to Salada Tea, I got the opportunity to try some of the newer brands of flavored green tea. I was sent a box each of the Classic Lemon Green Tea, the Green Pomegranate Berry Tea and the Strawberry Green Tea with a hint of Lemongrass.

I have to say that I loved the new flavors. It's nice to be able to have a variety of green teas. The Classic Lemon is very good and the Pomegranate Berry Tea is refreshing and tarty. My absolute favorite was the Strawberry Green Tea. It tasted like green tea with a splash of strawberry. It tasted fresh and clean. It was soothing and delish! It was so good that the next day I made tea again and then added ice and had a wonderful iced tea.

I will continue buying Salada Teas as I am a big fan. If you haven't tried them, you should. Honestly, if you are a tea lover, this is a brand you need to look into. Plus, you will be doing something healthy for you!

And to give you a leg up on getting healthy and to try these wonderful teas, I have a giveaway thanks to Salada Tea. They are offering one of my readers a year of tea. Yes, that's 12 boxes of 20 ct. teas just for you!! How cool is that? I am jealous because I would love to win this prize. All you have to do is follow the rules and enter. How easy is that???

REVIEW: Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters

I was given the opportunity to try the new varieties of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters from MyBlogSpark.

I got one each of the New Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters. They come in these four tasty flavors; Nut Lovers, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew and Honey Roasted Peanut.

They were delicious. I am not a big fan of granola but add some tasty nuts and I am all over that. I liked them because they are 100% natural bite sized pieces of goodness. They make a great snack especially in the afternoon when you need something to tide you over for dinner. I like them because you are getting some good stuff when you eat them but I have to say they aren't non-fat or low-cal but they are healthy. A serving is about 7 clusters and on average the calorie count is about 140-160 calories per serving. That sounds like a lot but a snack should be around 100-200 calories. Plus, they are filling and a substantial snack so you won't eat more. They are tasty because are a mix of sweet & salty. My favorite is the Nut Lovers Nut Clusters because you get peanuts, pecans and cashews!! YUMMO!

For more information on the New Granola Nut Clusters visit the Nature Valley website for more details. I also want to thank MyBlogSpark.com for giving me the chance to try these new products. If you like granola and nuts, then these products are something you need to try for yourself.

The Natural Dentist Review and Giveaway

My teeth and gums are very important to me and so is my dental hygiene. My parents were always about keeping our teeth and mouths healthy. I remember even as a little girl brushing my teeth constantly and I am proud to say that even at my advanced age, my teeth are in very good condition.

I have also been trying to become a little more green and find products that are not only good for the environment but for me. So when I was given the opportunity to review The Natural Dentist products, I was excited. These products have no bleach, artificial flavors or coloring or harsh chemicals. And I am all about getting rid of the fake and harmful stuff at this point in my life.

First, a little about this company from their website:

The Natural Dentist was created by a dentist determined to offer patients uniquely powerful mouth rinses and toothpastes that were natural, effective, safe and recommended by other dental professionals. Today, our company continues to expand on that original vision by offering products that provide families with an effective, natural oral care experience. It's why we come to work everyday.

Our products are the next generation of oral care, delivering effectiveness without alcohol, artificial dyes, harsh chemicals, bleach, detergents or any of the artificial ingredients found in so many brands of mouthwash and toothpaste.

The Natural Dentist will soothe and protect your mouth and the mouth of your entire family – naturally.

I received a sample of the Clean Mint Pre-brush Whitening Antigingivitus Rinse and the Peppermint Twist Whitening Plus toothpaste. I immediately began using my new products. I have to be honest and say that it took a while for me to get used to the taste of the mouthwash. I think it was because I am so used to the candy tasting rinses and this was different because it's all natural. It tastes like real mint. I got used to the taste and I am not sure I can go back to the artificially flavored rinses. The toothpaste tasted great and really worked.

I had used the toothpaste one morning. I then ate breakfast, went out to the store, had lunch and then around 3 in the afternoon I licked my teeth and was shocked that they felt smooth and clean. I was surprised because usually after eating teeth feel a little rough because of the food so you have to brush again. But this toothpaste cleaned so well that my mouth felt good all day. Of course, I still brushed my teeth that night.

Since I tried the whitening products, I also made sure to look and see if that made a difference. It did. Now my teeth aren't bright white but I could tell after a few weeks that they were a little whiter. The Natural Dentist also offers other products that address specific oral needs such as gingivitis and children's needs. Visit their website for more information on their products.

I really liked these products and would definitely continue using them. If you are looking to eliminate the harsh chemicals from your everyday life and try natural products, The Natural Dentist products are something you should investigate.

Right now you can go to the their site and receive $1 off coupon for their products. You can also try your luck and win some here. The Natural Dentist is offering a prize pack of toothpaste and rinse to 2 of my readers. Yes, 2 people will win their choice of products. You know the drill.

Armani Exchange Denim Sale

I love jeans and Armani jeans are some of the best around. Armani Exchange is having a great sale on denim. At Armani Exchange you can get some cool jeans inspired by street-chic culture, fashionable dance music and everything that signifies freedom and personal style. Created by Giorgio Armani, Armani Exchange interprets his sensual and unique style to create a casual, yet sophisticated collection for the young, urban and sexy. You can also find more than jeans at the site. They offer apparel, accessories, eyewear, watches, jewelry, and music.

I went on the site and found a few pairs that I would love to have.
