Salada Tea Review and Giveaway!!!

I am a tea fanatic. In fact, one of my lifelong dreams has been to open up a little tea house where I could serve tea and little tiny sandwiches. I love tea sandwiches and now that my garden is producing fresh cucumbers, I can have cucumber/cream cheese sandwiches all the time. Yes, it sounds weird but there is something so soothing and civilized about drinking tea! I love all types of tea especially green tea.

A few years ago, I started drinking a lot of green tea. My sister is a vegetarian, yoga loving, organic health chick who told me that green tea is fabulous for a lot of what ails me. Since I already loved tea, it began to make sense to drink green tea. The health benefits of Green Tea are impressive and you should check them out. Besides, green tea is absolutely delicious. I have tried many brands but the one I kept coming back to was Salada Tea.

I have used Salada Tea for years because it's easy to find at the grocery store and it is, in my opinion, high quality tea that tastes great. I have never had a problem finding it and it is always in my pantry. Recently, thanks to Salada Tea, I got the opportunity to try some of the newer brands of flavored green tea. I was sent a box each of the Classic Lemon Green Tea, the Green Pomegranate Berry Tea and the Strawberry Green Tea with a hint of Lemongrass.

I have to say that I loved the new flavors. It's nice to be able to have a variety of green teas. The Classic Lemon is very good and the Pomegranate Berry Tea is refreshing and tarty. My absolute favorite was the Strawberry Green Tea. It tasted like green tea with a splash of strawberry. It tasted fresh and clean. It was soothing and delish! It was so good that the next day I made tea again and then added ice and had a wonderful iced tea.

I will continue buying Salada Teas as I am a big fan. If you haven't tried them, you should. Honestly, if you are a tea lover, this is a brand you need to look into. Plus, you will be doing something healthy for you!

And to give you a leg up on getting healthy and to try these wonderful teas, I have a giveaway thanks to Salada Tea. They are offering one of my readers a year of tea. Yes, that's 12 boxes of 20 ct. teas just for you!! How cool is that? I am jealous because I would love to win this prize. All you have to do is follow the rules and enter. How easy is that???

I read about Green tea's impact on Prostate cancer. Studies have shown that men who drink tea have lower incidence, and as the frequency, duration and quantity of consumption goes up, the risk of developing prostate cancer goes down.

cdziuba@aol.com I learned this: Salada first introduced its tea in tea bags in 1930's to provide an easy way to brew a single cup of tea. Originally the bags were made of fabric similar to gauze and were sewn closed. For convenient removal of the teabag, one end of a string was attached to the bag and the other to a paper tag, which remained outside the cup and could be grasped easily to avoid the hot steeping tea. To add an additional twist, Salada subsequently printed a few words of wit or wisdom on each tea tag beginning in the early 1960's. These tidbits were intended to provoke a smile or a thought while the tea drinker paused with a cup of Salada tea. Through the years, Salada tag lines have become a memorable part of Salada Tea.

By the 1950's, Salada had established three large packing plants situated in Boston, Massachusetts, Toronto, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec. These three plants were devoted entirely to the blending and packing of tea. Distribution offices could be found in many cities of the United States and Canada, and buying offices were established in all the major countries of tea production.
