Soda Stream Review and Giveaway!

I saw the Soda Stream on various blog giveaways. I was intrigued because the thought of making my own soda was kind of cool. Well, I got the opportunity to review one thanks to Soda Stream. I received the Fountain Jet and various flavors of soda including regular and diet flavors.

I don't drink a lot of soda but every so often I get the urge. What I really like drinking is soda water. So this machine is perfect for me. I can make my own soda water whenever I feel like it and it saves me money because it uses regular tap water. Now I am not the most technical person around so it was nice to see that it was easy to use. Soda Stream also uses BPA free bottles so it helps the environment by cutting down on all those plastic soda bottles. This little machine is very Earth Friendly. It is perfect for those wanting to Go Green.

How easy is it to use? Let me tell you. My Fountain Jet came already assembled. All I had to do is attach the CO2 tank to the back of the unit. I filled the BPA free bottle with tap water, chilled it and once chilled, placed it onto the Soda Stream. I pushed a button a few times and in a split second I had soda water. Then I added the flavor mix I wanted and I instantly had flavored soda. I didn't have to use electricity. I didn't have to use batteries. That was it. Then when I wanted another flavor, I just washed the bottles and reused again. If you drink a lot of soda, this is for you because you will save a lot of money. You can send the CO2 tanks backs and exchange them for half the price.

The soda drink mixes contain less sugar, carbs and sodium than the store bought brands. The diet flavors are made with Splenda. I made soda water and added a slice of lime and it was delish. I also tried the root beer, cola, diet cola, diet pink grapefruit and diet root beer. I have to say that it may be because they are made with less sugar but the non-diet flavors didn't taste like the soda I am used to drinking and I opted to stick with the diet flavors. The diet soda tasted really good and now that I am cutting down on sugar, these are perfect. I also can't wait to make my own tonic water. When we have parties we always buy so much and then it goes to waste. So it is going to be nice to make just enough and it costs pennies on the dollar.

The Soda Stream will save you money. The Soda Stream I received cost about $100. There are more premium models available too. But this one was perfect to make any soda you want. The size is perfect to fit on any kitchen counter. And like I said, it can't be easier to use. So if you or your family drinks a lot of soda, you need to get one of these. I can't imagine how much money you will save in the long run.
