When I lived in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii several times. The flight is a bit long but I found some good deals. It was fantastic.
I love Hawaii. I wish I could go back now but it's a little harder when you live on the East Coast because you have to fly so far. But I know one day I will return. Hawaii has so much to offer. The weather is always perfect, not too hot and not too cool. The beaches are to die for. There is so much to see and do. The people are extremely friendly and the food rocks.
The trips I took were to Oahu and Kauai. I never got to go to the Big Island or Maui. And I really wanted to go to Maui. My sister had gone there quite a few times and told me it was so gorgeous and not as touristy as Oahu. Kaanapali Beach Hotel sits on eleven acres on the beach. The guests rooms are surrounded by tropical gardens. Amenities include two restaurants, spa salon and swimming pool and tons of activities including golf, hiking and horseback riding. Me, I would be by the pool lounging on a chair while drinking those cool fruity drinks with umbrellas in them. And I would certainly make sure to go to a luau or two. There is nothing like Hawaiian roast pig!!!
