I recently was sent a package of
Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes to review. Now I have to be honest and say that I rarely use makeup but every once in a while I have to put my face on to go out. I don't use foundation but I love using
bronzer, mascara and a little blush. When I feel sassy, I even use eyeshadow!
I
recently attended the Type-A-Mom conference in
Asheville and it was one of those situations where I had to put on my face. So I thought this would be the perfect place for me to review the
Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes. During the conference, I wore makeup a few times. Usually I take off my makeup with a little soap and water but that is always iffy because while the soap will take off facial makeup, it does not do well on mascara. I
always use waterproof mascara because the last thing I want to do is look like Tammy Faye Baker. Waterproof mascara is tough to get off. If the soap and water doesn't work then I have to go dig around the medicine cabinet for lotion of some sort. Bad idea because lotion
usually burns my eyes and I hate using
Vaseline because it's so greasy.
Well, I tried these babies and they worked. They are easy to use and come in a pouch that closes right up after use. They felt great on the face and actually cleaned really well. The
bronzer and powder that I normally use came off immediately. The mascara came off relatively easy. It only took a few wipes to get it off. I also used these when I snuck back into the room to freshen up. I took one out and wiped my face. It left my face feeling clean and fresh. My skin also felt smooth.

These
Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes are great to have in your purse or to travel with. I am going off to Mexico soon and these will be in my luggage because they are great if you want to just get your face free of dirt and
guck and might not have soap and water handy.
The pack is a little bulky but if you have a bigger purse, then they will fit nicely. Overall, this is a great
product. I liked it and it worked well for me. Now if you wear a lot of makeup they might work differently but for me they were great to have. The smell was not too strong although I prefer stuff unscented. I tried another brand of wipes and the
Pond's definitely worked better for me.
In addition to the Original Clean formulation that I tried there are two others: Micro-
Dermabrasion, which exfoliates as well as cleanses, and Age-Defying, which is infused with
retinol (a form of vitamin A) and collagen (a protein). I really want to try the Micro-
Dermabrasion towlettes because I feel they would probably exfoliate quite well and I am all about exfoliating.
Pond's Wet Cleansing
Towelettes are also ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested. They contain Triple Tea Antioxidant Complex,Vitamin E and Chamomile.
They are also not that expensive in the big scheme of things. The 30-count packet has a suggested retail price of $4.79 to $5.07. Drugstore.com offers the 15-ct size for $2.24. This is a fair price for a good product. Go over to
Pond's site and get more info. Also they have a
coupon for $1.50 savings!! Woo-
hoo!
And I know you know what's coming up next!! Yes, the sponsor has a pack of the towelettes for my readers as well.
