CLOSED ~ Karen Neuberger Socks Review and Giveaway

I wear socks all Summer long, all Spring long, all Fall long and all Winter long. Okay not during the day but when I get home from work, there is nothing like putting on some soft cozy socks to pad around the house. It doesn't matter how hot it is or if the heat is on, my feet are like icicles. So I need to keep them warm with a pair of socks.

I have tried all types of socks but some of the best I have ever worn are The Karen Neuburger Chenille Lounge Socks. I had the opportunity to try them and I am a convert. Oh these babies are soft and comfy and warm! They feel smooth and silky. They are cushioned and I don't have to worry about slipping on the hardwood floors because the socks have rubber grippers on the bottom. Not only do they add extra cushion but prevent accidents.

I know that I will buying more of these socks to add to my ever growing sock collection. Honestly, these are like walking on clouds! To be eligible, applicants must:

· Be willing to provide tips and suggestions to others for living a healthy lifestyle, attend health and environmentally focused events across the country, blog, tweet and continuously help spread the “Unbottle Your Tea” message

· Complete an online registration form

· Submit a video entry no longer than 30 seconds at the Salada site describing why he or she is the perfect choice for the role of Salada’s spokesperson

All submissions will be evaluated for quality by Salada Tea. The top 10 finalists, as judged by Salada, will be announced on June 28. The video submissions of the finalists will be posted on Salada’s YouTube channel where America will be invited to vote for their favorite. Public voting will be held from June 28 to August 1 at www.YouTube.com/SaladaTea. Based on results of the online voting and overall job suitability, Salada Tea will announce the winner of the spokesperson search and the $10,000 brand representative contract in August 2010.

CLOSED ~ Cover Your Hair Review and Giveaway

I was contacted by Cover Your Hair to do a review of some hair products. Now I am all about hair products because I have a lot of hair and most of the time it is unruly and crazy. I am always on the lookout for cute and fashionable headbands and clips.

One of the items I received was this Tiger Clip. This clip is really cute and let me tell you it is perfect for me. I have tons of thick wavy hair and find it impossible to find clips that will hold all my hair and control it. So I was glad when I put this baby on and it held my hair. It was not tight and it didn't break or fall off like many clips I buy do. It was great to be able to have something that controlled my "Cousin It" hair.

I took this clip on my recent vacation and let me tell you it was a lifesaver at the beach because it was so hot! I was able to use it in the water and it never fell off. It was great.

Covermyhair.com has so many cool items. I am eyeing the bandanas and from some of the cloth headbands for summertime!! You need to check out the selection. The styles are cute and the prices are reasonable!

I Am Off Again!

Yes folks, I will be MIA again. We are off to Costa Rica!! Yippee Skippy! We are visiting my parents. Costa Rica is really like my second home. I have been going there since I was knee-high to grasshopper and love it. My sister is now there for a few months so I get to see her too! YAY!

But now that I vlog, you might get some video clips this coming week. I am taking my netbook so I should be able to upload them to YouTube for your viewing pleasure. You won't get my traditional hotel room video but I can vlog about my mom's house where we stay. We only have a week so we will be totally busy.

We have to visit my dad and then we are taking a few days and going to our favorite place: Playa Hermosa. Then we will be in San Jose the rest of the time. We will probably see some of my cousins. I am dying to eat chicharrones and just to hang out with the family.

I am Shopping for Mom and Dad!

With Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up, I have to put on my thinking cap and start shopping. Also my mom's birthday is in June and my dad's in July! So I am always on the lookout for cool gifts they might like.

One place I always visit when shopping for gifts is ShopNBC. I love shopping there because of the variety of gifts and the prices as well. Luckily, shopping for my parents isn't too hard. I was on the site and found a few gifts that I might be purchasing.

For mom, I found some really cute handbags like this Issac Mizrahi bag. She also loves jewelry and ShopNBC has tons of it. I know she loves pearls so I think some cute pearl earrings might be in her future.

Closed ~ Silk Pure Almond Review and Giveaway!

I recently had the opportunity to try Silk Pure Almond™ almond milk. At first I have to admit I was a little reluctant because I wasn't sure it was something I would like. Then once I got the coupons provided for the review, I couldn't find it at my local grocery store. Finally, I was able to find it at another store in a nearby town. Yes folks, I live in a small town!

Now again my first reaction is almond flavored milk, what the heck. But I realized that I used to drink chocolate an strawberry flavored milk so this might not be so strange. Another good thing was that Silk Pure Almond milk has 60 calories per serving. WOO! Low calories products are my friends!

When I got it home, I had a glass. And let me tell you it wasn't half bad. It had a little hint of almond taste and it was quite delish. The next day I tried it with my oatmeal and that was actually really tasty because it gave my oatmeal an extra added punch! The good thing is if you like almonds this is great for you. You can use Silk Pure Almond the same way you would use regular dairy milk!

Plus as the website says: "Each glass is an excellent source of natural antioxidants and contains as much calcium and vitamin D as dairy milk, with no cholesterol, saturated fat, dairy or soy, and it's fortified with Vitamin E."

So besides being tasty, it is good for you as well. Not bad. Now I don't use that much milk except for cereal or oatmeal and some cooking but I would buy this again if I felt like having that little extra taste in my meals.
