If I have any internet service, keep an eye out for some vlogs and updates on my personal blog, Carolyn in Carolina. Here is our hotel. Be jealous.

Kraft Cracker Barrel Limited Edition Holiday Reserve Cheese Review

I recently had the opportunity to try the new Kraft Cracker Barrel Limited Edition Holiday Reserve Cheese. The Cracker Barrel Limited Edition Holiday Reserve Cheese is only available at leading grocery stores until January 1, 2011. So if you want to try, go find it now before it's gone.

I am all about cheese. I could eat cheese everyday of my life and never get tired. During the holidays, I buy a lot of different types of cheese to serve to my guests. It is the perfect thing to serve because you can serve it with fruit, veggies, crackers, bread and sweets. I always have a cheese plate on my holiday table. In fact, anytime I have a party or event, you will find cheese.

Also during the holidays, I like to keep snacks ready for my husband because while I am cooking and busy, he gets hungry but I don't want to cook anymore than I have to. So I do the next best thing, make him a cheese platter. I give him some cheese, meats, crackers, fruit and let him snack on that. He loves it. It is filling enough to keep him happy until dinner yet not so bad for him. Let me tell you, for me, there is nothing like some cheese and crackers or cheese and bread with a cup of coffee or tea on a cold afternoon.

When I was asked to review the Cracker Barrel cheese, I wasn't sure if I would like it because I am a little bit of a cheese snob. What I found was that this cheese was really quite good. I love cheddar cheese and this particular special edition cheese is aged white cheddar. It was sharp and had a nutty undertone. It was easy to cut and grate.

I really liked and so did my husband. We had gone shopping this past weekend and when we got home, I fixed us up a little cheese plate for a snack. It was the perfect amount of food for the afternoon and kept us happy until dinner.

Would I buy this cheese again? Yes. It is really tasty and the price is right. The suggested retail price is $3.99 - $4.99 for a 10 oz. package as compared to a specialty cheese that can cost upwards of $8.49 per 10 oz. I would probably buy some more expensive cheese then serve it alongside the Cracker Barrel cheese. I think my guests would love it.

The next day, I grated some up and used it to make some mac and cheese. It worked perfectly because it made the perfect cheese sauce. Given more cheese and more time, I bet I could come up with more uses for this tasty cheese.

Remember, this is a limited edition cheese so make sure to go look for it now!

Disclosure: This post was written for Family Review Network & Kraft Cracker Barrel who provided the complimentary product for review in exchange for my honest opinions. I received a sample product for review purposes. No other compensation was given and the opinions in this post are solely mine and are based on my experience with the product.

CLOSED ~ Vaseline Review and Giveaway!

I had no idea that Vaseline Petroleum Jelly is celebrating its 140th year anniversary. That is pretty amazing. I know I have used Vaseline since I was little. We always had a little tub of Vaseline for chapped lips or really dry skin. My mom swore by it.

As I grew up, I started using Vaseline lotion. And to this day, that is hubby's favorite lotion so I have it stocked in our bathroom cabinet. I still have Vaseline tubs in the cabinet as well. Vaseline is a staple in our house and in many houses across the country.

And now they redesigned the tub to have a flip cap. I love the new flip cap because it is easier to use and less messy. I can't tell you how many times, I have dropped the cap and/or misplaced it. Vaseline also has a NEW Rich Conditioning Cocoa Butter variety as well. I loved it. It smelled great and it really helped my dry elbows!

Vaseline is also launching the official Vaseline Facebook page and sharing some of our favorite unique and inventive ways to use Vaseline. Like them on Facebook and be able to win some cool prizes. Each week, we’ll be selecting a winner to receive a Limited Edition Swarovski Crystal Jar of VPJ (worth around $100) and a $500 gift card! They will also be randomly selecting 5 winners, who take the extra time to submit a video, to win a Limited Edition Swarovski Crystal Jar set (worth around $750) & a $1,000 gift card!

You can check out that contest, along with other fun content including videos at the Vaseline Facebook page.

And, of course, I have goodies for you to win. One lucky winner will win a tub of the Baby Vaseline and the new cocoa butter as well. You know the drill.

CLOSED ~ Stand Up For Cancer Giveaway!

I am all about raising awareness for cancer. This disease has touched my life in many ways. I have had family and friends who have been affected. The campaign to Stand Up To Cancer has a very unique and fun way you can do something this holiday season.

You can send your loved ones a beautiful holiday greeting. This from the SU2C Holiday e-card site. These greetings can be emailed or printed out so you can mail them. Each card you send raises money for the SU2C organization. The donation amount is $5.00 per card up to 24 emails and $4.75 per card for 25-49 emails.

Check out this cool video for the e-cards:

You can also give someone a unique gift. Stand Up To Cancer's Constellation is a place where you can honor friends and family members who have received a cancer diagnosis by launching a star with a donation of a dollar or more. It is a beautiful way to give presence to and stand up with someone who has been touched by this horrible disease.

As we approach a new year, Stand Up To Cancer is offering the opportunity for your loved ones' stories to be featured on the SU2C.org homepage. Launch a star between December 1st at 12:01am EST and December 31st at 11:59pm EST and share it with your friends and family to gather notes of support and love for someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. The individuals whose stars receive the largest number of tribute messages may be recognized on the SU2C.org homepage during the month of January.
If you have already launched a star you can still participate. Help make it shine a little brighter by encouraging friends and family to add additional tribute notes of love and support for as little as a $1 donation.

To celebrate Stand Up for Cancer you can win a wonderful prize pack that includes 3 pack of Handmade SU2C Star Ornaments plus one graded SU2C t-shirt for a man or woman.

Mandatory Entry

Visit the Stand Up To Cancer site and tell me something you learned.

CLOSED ~ Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2-in-1 Starter Kit Review and Giveaway!

I recently had the opportunity to try the Scrubbing Bubbles 2-in-1 Starter Kit. The Scrubbing Bubbles 2 in 1 kit comes with two kinds of pads to help you keep you keep your toilet clean and fresh.

According to Scrubbing Bubbles:
*51 percent of women avoid going to the bathroom in someone else’s home?
*64 percent of women worry about what others think about the cleanliness of their home
*75 percent of those cleaning to keep their significant other happy, report a visit from in-laws as a reason to clean their home
*47 percent of women 35-44 actually tell guests not to go in certain rooms if they don’t feel they are clean enough
*If hosting a party or anticipating the extended stay of guests or other company, four out of five (83 percent) women are prompted to clean

I believe that because I try to avoid others bathrooms if I can. I also am paranoid about my bathroom being totally clean when people are over. The other day our chimney sweep wanted to use our bathroom and I was so worried it might be dirty. Yeah, I'm paranoid, sue me.

Because of this, I love having an easy method of cleaning, just in case. That's where Scrubbing Bubbles comes in. The 2 in 1 kit is so easy to use and it cleans well. You clip on the one of the pads and clean. The wand has comes in two different pieces and it is easy to assemble. It also comes with a hook to hang off the toilet for easy access.

If you need to really clean, you use the Max pads that are great for scrubbing out the stains. These are disposable so you clean and toss. The flushable pads are for that easy clean up when you need it. These can be flushed away! So convenient.

I really liked the Scrubbing Bubbles 2 in 1 kit. I might have to rethink my usual toilet cleaning system. I like the option of having 2 pads for different types of cleaning.

Now you can try the Scrubbing Bubbles 2 in 1 Starter Kit. Just follow the rules and enter.

CLOSED ~ eBay's Love to Give Campaign ~ $100 ebay Gift Card Giveaway!

Have you ever had an unwrap attack? What is an unwrap attack, you ask? Well, it's when you are given a gift you really want and go nuts when you open it.

This year eBay has teamed up with Samantha Bee to celebrate the "unwrap attack" through the Love to Give campaign. The campaign focuses on the joys of holiday gift giving. You can visit the Love to Give site and watch some eBay webisodes and a gallery of consumer-created "unwrap attack" videos that will showcase some of the most hilarious and heartwarming gift giving and receiving moments captured on video! These are great! I watched a few and this was my favorite:

It cracked me. I remember having an unwrap attack when I was 5 years old and got my first Barbie doll. I went nuts. The next year I had another unwrap attack when I got a faux fur white coat with diamond buttons. Looking back, I have no idea why that gave me an unwrap attack but it was just the prettiest coat I had ever seen. Again, I went nuts and wore it all day.

My last unwrap attack came a few years ago when my hubby surprised me with a giant Patrick, from Spongebob Squarepants, stuffed doll. Yes, I am over 40 years old but I love my Patrick doll. I was so surprised that he took the time to find me this giant stuffed toy. It was so unexpected and so big, I really flipped out. I know that sounds weird but that's how I roll.

This year, what would give me an unwrap attack would probably be a trip to Vegas or George Clooney. I think I have a better chance of going to Vegas though.

So to celebrate the joys of giving, eBay is offering one of lucky readers a $100 eBay gift certificate so he or she can stage their own unwrap attack and gift a special someone with a special gift! Yippee!!

To enter, just leave a comment and answer one of the following questions (in 350 words or less):

* Tell us your best unwrap attack story
* What gift would give you an unwrap attack this holiday season

One comment per person!
That's it. How easy can that be? I can't wait to read all your comments!! The giveaway will end on December 15 at 7:59pm PST (that means 10:59pm EST). Make sure to read the rules (see link below) before you enter! Good Luck all!!

For official eBay Love to Give Sweepstakes rules, please click here.

Disclosure: In accordance to the FTC Guidelines and WOMMA Code of Ethics, I am disclosing that the gift cards from this giveaway have been provided by eBay. Although I have a material connection to eBay, any publicly stated opinions of eBay remain my own.

CLOSED ~ Progresso Soup Review and Giveaway!

Yes, my dear readers, I received another opportunity from MyBlogSpark to try some new products! This time it was some new delicious Progresso soups. They are really good and good for you.

I received a sample of the new Progresso Light and Progresso World Recipe soups. Now I don't eat Clam Chowder but I fed that to hubby because he does. And I was all over the new Chicken Tortilla soup because I love it.

Here is some info about the Progresso soups:

Progresso® New World RecipesTM - Inspired by Mexican recipes, explore one of the fastest growing ethnic cuisines by giving the Progresso New World Recipes line a try. Made with authentic Mexican ingredients and seasonings, four new Progresso soups will be hitting grocery shelves near you - Chicken Tortilla, Meatball & Rice, Black Bean Jalapeno and Chicken & Vegetable.

Progresso Light - America´s number one Light soup just got better, as all 13 existing Progresso Light varieties are now packed with bigger pieces of white meat chicken, more tender pieces of beef or added vegetables. Need even more to talk about? Progresso Light New England Clam Chowder is the first creamy Light ready-to-serve soup that holds true to the Progresso Light name with just 1 Weight Watchers® POINTS® value per serving!

Progresso Reduced Sodium - With 49 percent of shoppers concerned about high cholesterol1, Progresso understands the importance of soluble fiber and reduced sodium diets. New Reduced Sodium Tomato Parmesan soup is one more tasty option that has a delicious blend of flavors and carries the "May Help Lower Cholesterol"2 benefit. In addition, five additional Reduced Sodium soups also carry the "May Help Lower Cholesterol"2 benefit.

Progresso High Fiber - With 9 out of 10 Americans not getting the recommended Daily Value of fiber, Progresso High Fiber line of soups are packed with 7 grams per serving. Giving you one more thing to talk about, Progresso brand´s first Chili Soup just joined the High Fiber family!

Hubby liked his soup and could not believe it was so low-cal. He said it tasted just as good as the higher calorie soups he usually eats. When, and if I start Weight Watchers, I will have to fool him with these low point soups. This soup is worth one WW point and that's pretty good.

I had the new Tortilla y Pollo soup and it was tasty. Not as good as my own Chicken tortilla soup but it was pretty darn good for a canned soup. I added a little avocado and cheese and tortilla chips and it was absolutely delicious.

I love Progresso soups and it is one of the brands I consistently buy. I love that Progresso is offering lower calories, low sodium, high fiber soups. It really helps when you are trying to eat better.

Now you can try some of the Progresso soups and win a cool Progresso prize pack which includes: VIP coupons for two cans of Progresso soup, a spoon rest, a soup can rack and a soup mug with matching spoon. I love the can rack because it helps me keep organized. So my lovelies, enter to win. You know the drill.

Mandatory Entry

Visit the Progresso Soup site and tell me what soup you would like to try.
