I am all about raising awareness for cancer. This disease has touched my life in many ways. I have had family and friends who have been affected. The campaign to Stand Up To Cancer has a very unique and fun way you can do something this holiday season.
You can send your loved ones a beautiful holiday greeting. This from the SU2C Holiday e-card site. These greetings can be emailed or printed out so you can mail them. Each card you send raises money for the SU2C organization. The donation amount is $5.00 per card up to 24 emails and $4.75 per card for 25-49 emails.
Check out this cool video for the e-cards:
You can also give someone a unique gift. Stand Up To Cancer's Constellation is a place where you can honor friends and family members who have received a cancer diagnosis by launching a star with a donation of a dollar or more. It is a beautiful way to give presence to and stand up with someone who has been touched by this horrible disease.

To celebrate Stand Up for Cancer you can win a wonderful prize pack that includes 3 pack of Handmade SU2C Star Ornaments plus one graded SU2C t-shirt for a man or woman.

They award grants to 'dream teams', groups of scientists from different institutions to get them working together to find a cure faster, rather than them working competitively against each other. Great idea & about time!

I learned that SU2C will receive $1 for every consumer who downloads and registers for SWAGG by Dec 31.
ReplyDeleteI like that they don't focus their efforts on just one type of cancer - but all cancers. My dad's battling renal cancer now...no known cure so organizations like this could help.

ReplyDeleteI like that they don't focus their efforts on just one type of cancer - but all cancers. My husband's sister is now battling breast cancer, and his brother survived colo-rectal cancer.
