I love CSN Stores. A few months ago, I had a giveaway for y'all and soon I will have a review of a product from one of their stores. I still haven't decided what to buy but I have ideas.

I know many of you have heard of CSN stores because they do some great giveaways in the blog world. I first heard about them on a blog giveaway. If you haven't, CSN is an online retailer based in Boston that started out in 2002 with two employees and one online shop. CSN Stores has now become one of the top 3 online US retailers of home and office goods with over 400 employees and 200 online stores. They sell stools, cookware, rugs, twin beds, toys, furniture and so much more.

I thought long and hard about what item I might need from CSN stores. I am eyeing a lovely bench and coat rack for the foyer. We really need one especially during winter when we need to wear our boots and coats. But then again, I saw some really cool cat furniture that my kitties would love. If I get really selfish, then I am so buying myself some cookware! I just have no idea. But be assured that whatever I decide to review, I will let you know about!

CLOSED ~ Wanchai Ferry Review and Giveaway

Okay, I love Chinese food. Unfortunately, because I live in a small town it is hard to find. Sure we have a few Chinese restaurants around but, let's be honest folks, they aren't very good. It's depressing because sometimes I crave Orange Chicken or Lo Mein or even Beef and Broccoli. Luckily, I recently had the opportunity to try Wanchai Ferry’s newest flavor, Beef & Broccoli, through MyBlogSpark.

Wanchai Ferry has a line of frozen meals that are easy to prepare and are perfect for those days you don't have the time to cook or don't want to cook. The Beef & Broccoli is a new flavor they have introduced. The other new flavors include Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Style Chicken. Wanchai Ferry already has five other varieties: Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. I have tried the Orange Chicken and it was very yummy.

The meal I received is just that, a meal in a bag. It includes everything you need to have a dinner for two in under 14 minutes. It comes with tender beef strips, red peppers, broccoli, water chestnuts and sauce. Basically, all you do is put the meat and veggies into a pan with a little water and let cook.

You microwave the rice and then add the sauce to the pan and mix. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. That's it folks! Plus, this has no MSG! It's a healthful meal and a fast meal. I made it one day after a long day at work. I came home and was in no mood to cook. I took out the Wachai Ferry and made it up and we had a lovely meal.

Now I have to say that the amount of food is small. I had to add a salad to make it a complete meal. The portions are more for a lunch than dinner. And if left to his own devices, hubby could have probably eaten it all himself. But it filled us up and let me tell you that this was better than some of the Chinese food we have here in town.

Along with my meal, I also received some beautiful tea sets. The tea sets come with a lovely ceramic cup, a tea steeper and fresh leaf tea. I love it! I took mine to work so I can have tea when I want. Be sure to check out the site because they have some great meal tips. F-U Grim Reaper!

This is my review blog and I rarely post personal stuff because I have a personal blog for all that nonsense.

However, this weekend, I was taken on a journey that almost, almost cost me my life so I thought some of you who only visit this blog might enjoy my tale of terror ~ Click Here. Yes, it's terrible and frightening but some seem to find entertainment in my near death experience.

Oh Novica, how do I love thee?

When I was given the opportunity to review an item from Novica, I did the Snoopy dance. Honestly, I love this site. If you haven't heard of Novica or visited the site, you MUST. Novica, in association with National Geographic gives artists and artisans around the world a platform to express their artistic talents, and creativity. It is a huge marketplace where you can find unique and handmade items from all over the world. They have apparel, Corporate Gifts, furniture, housewares, Handmade Jewelry, furniture and tons and tons of Home decor items!

It took me forever to choose something for the house. I am a huge Day of the Dead collector and I found some fantastic items. These Catrina silver earrings are definitely going on my Christmas list. I also love retablos and masks of all kinds. If you came to our house, you would see why I love Novica. We have various cool folk art from all over the world. So this website is a one stop shop for me. I can find beautiful items and the prices are pretty good as well.

I have to say that I wanted them all. I found this wonderful retablo with a mirror from Peru. The detail work is wonderful and it would look fantastic in the house. I also found a beautiful Day of the Dead mask that I almost bought. But in the end, after talking with hubby, we decided on a beautiful "Sacred Monkey" mask from Bali & Java.

When I received the box, I noticed it came from Bali. When I opened it up, it was well packed and wrapped in a lovely package. I almost didn't want to open it since it was so cute. But once I opened it, I was so happy we decided on this particular item. The mask is hand carved from wood. And it fits right in with our masks from Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Africa and Mexico. It is beautifully painted and the hair is very cool. We also loved the fact that in Balinese Hindu tradition, the Monkey is considered a holy animal. According to the Ramayana legend, an army of monkeys helps Rama save queen Sita from evil. That story just made the mask that much more interesting. Now it protects our house from evil!

When we got the mask we had no idea where to place it but we finally decided to put it in the foyer next to a beautiful tin mirror we bought in Mexico. Now as people come into the house, the first thing they see is the Sacred Monkey mask. We love it. I know it might not be for everyone but it is something that we really love. We knew it belonged in our home.

WOO! Pee Wee Herman is Back!

Yes folks, he is back and headed to Broadway! Pee Wee has a new Broadway show called, what else, The Pee Wee Herman Show! It opens on October 26th! I loved his TV show so I am super duper excited that he is back and performing!

In the meantime, Pee-wee will be riding through the Sturgis World's Biggest Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota on August 8-9, 2010!! He will be kicking off the event as well as leading The World's Biggest Tequila Dance and the Biker Parade and taping his “New Sturgis Adventures". And lucky fans will be able to meet him (so jealous) as he spends time with them at a Meet and Greet signing autographs and helping to raise money for various charities in South Dakota including The Kids & Chrome Foundation that benefits The Black Hills Children’s Home Society and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame.

I love road trips. Ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I remember always getting excited when my parents said we were going to travel. When I received the opportunity to review a tote bag from Cafe Press, I was thrilled. If you haven't heard of Cafe Press, you are missing out especially if you want to find unique and personalized gifts. They have everything from t-shirts to clothing, mugs, art & posters and much more. Not only do they have designs from shopkeepers all over the world, who sell on Cafe Press, but you can personalize your own items from your own designs. They had so many cute things. As I looked around, I saw so many items not only for gifts but stuff for me. One of my favorites was this cute Alice In Wonderland apron!

I had the opportunity to choose a tote bag to review. I went on the site and checked out some cool designs but, in the end, I decided to make my own. I found the cutest beach tote in fuchsia and that made me think how cute my blog logos would look on it. It was easy to personalize. I choose the tote I wanted and then the site walked me through uploading the pictures. The program allows you to crop or format as needed. It was really easy to do once I decided what images I wanted uploaded.
If you don't like how it looks, you can go back and add another image as well. I found the whole process to be very easy. And once you are done, it shows you exactly how the item will look once you order it. It was easy and painless and once I got my tote, I was so happy.

Just check out my new tote bag. Not only is it cute but it will come in handy when I travel or go to the beach. It is even perfect for work. I cannot wait to take this with me when I got to BlogHer 2010 this year. I will be the envy of all. I mean, how cute is this? I know that I will be back when I need a special and unique gift. I have a friend who is having a baby and Cafe Press would be the perfect place to get a personalized onesie for the new addition.

Like Movies? AMC $50 Gift Card Giveaway

I love movies. Every Friday night at our house is movie night. Sometimes even Saturday is movie night. I also love entering sweepstakes and giveaways, but you guys already know that, don't you? Sometimes I actually win some and it is so exciting. Usually I only enter for stuff I want but y'all know that sometimes you don't always win the big prize but win a second, third or fourth prize.

My luck is your gain this time. I recently won a $50 AMC gift card. The problem: 1) we never go to the movies. We are strictly Netflix users in this household. 2) Even if we went to the movies, our little town has no AMC movie theatre. So what to do?

Well, I know I have been slacking off in the posting of contests and giveaways for you to enter because I am so busy, it's even amazing I can post my own giveaways. So I decided that who better to give this card to then one of my faithful readers, right? I am not sure how far $50 will get you at a movie theater nowadays but every little bit helps! CLOSED ~ Cascade 24 hour Challenge and $25 Walmart Card Giveaway

I was recently asked if I would take the Cascade Complete - 24 Hour Challenge. What is the 24 hour challenge, you ask? Well, Cascade has come up with a new product. They say it will clean the messiest dishes, even if you leave them out for 24 hours.

Now, I am not the regular dishwasher in the house but every so often I have to do them so I know that sometimes they come out not so clean depending on the liquid or tablets we use. There have been times when I or hubby have to re-wash certain dishes. So when I got these Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs, I was wondering if they would really work. According to the information I received, they break down, dissolve, and rinse away tough food particles, leaving your hands free and your dishes sparkling. I would not have to pre-soak the dish at all.

I received a pack of the Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs and a wonderful Corningware Casserole Dish. My challenge was to bake a Blueberry Cobbler. Those of you who read my blog, know I don't really follow instructions very well so instead of Blueberry Cobbler, I made my famous Lasagna. Why, you ask? Because my lasagna is messy, messy, messy and it is the most difficult thing to clean up especially if I were to leave it out for 24 hours. So I made my lasagna and it was quite tasty! But after all was said and done, it was a mess.

When I told hubby that I had to leave this out for 24 hours, he thought I was nuts. Since he does most of the dishes, he was a Doubting Thomas and said that we would have to re-wash it after it came out of the dishwasher. He also thought I was nuts when I told him to use just one Action Pac. We usually use 2 tablets of a leading brand. But he went along with it and left the dish out for a day.

Well lo and behold, after putting it in the dishwasher with Cascade Complete, it actually came out sparkling clean. We were both surprised! But it worked and worked well. I think we are converts to Cascade Complete! And we have been using the rest of the pack for days and our dishes are coming out really clean. They are a lot cleaner with Cascade Complete then with the other brand we were using. So there you have it folks, a thumbs up for Cascade Complete.
