Finish Sticky Dish Challenge #FinishRevolution

I was recently given the challenge of cooking up a messy and sticky dish and then using Finish Quantum tabs to get it clean. Finish Quantum has a 3 chamber technology that releases agents that breaks down food residue. It has no wrapper. You just pop it into the dishwasher and it is done.

I already use Finish tabs. It is one of the brands hubby buys. You see, I am not the dishwasher in the family, he is. I am mainly the cook. To begin the challenge, I decided to make scalloped potatoes with cheese to test the strength of of the Finish tabs.

When I make scalloped potatoes my dishes always come out messy and hard to clean. Hubby always have to soak the casserole dish before it even goes into the dishwasher.

My recipe is an easy one. First I make my famous cheese sauce. I use this cheese sauce for everything from hashbrown casserole, mac and cheese and anything else that needs sauce. I make a roux with flour, butter, milk and beer. I add spices: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and ground mustard. Then I add cheese. In this case, I used cheddar cheese. But you can use any type of cheese.

I then sliced up the potatoes an started layering in the dish with some chopped onions, salt and pepper and the cheese sauce. After that was done, I popped it into the oven to bake for about one hour at 350 degrees.

When the scalloped potatoes came out of the onion they were crispy and cheesy and the casserole dish was a mess. When I handed over the dish to my hubby, he was about to pre-rinse it but part of the challenge was not to pre-rinse. He said there was no way these dish would come clean. He wanted no part of it but he put it into the dishwasher. We put it in just as it looks like in the picture to the right.

I have to admit that I knew the mess was way to sticky and messy to get clean with one wash and no pre-rinsing. I was expecting the dish to come out super duper dirty. Okay, here are the results.

While it did not come out perfectly clean, it came out a lot cleaner than I expected. Hubby was pretty surprised as well. So did Finish win the Sticky Dish Challenge? I say yes. Let's be honest, I made sure to make the dish super super messy and messier than it would usually be. It could have been the dishwasher and not the dish washing tabs. In the end, I think it did a great job and I was happy with the outcome!

I say yes. It actually did pretty good. I will continue using Finish tabs because I find it a great product! So there you have it. If you want a great dish washing detergent, you need to join the Finish Revolution!
