Tuttorosso Tomatoes Review and Giveaway!

I love to cook but sometimes on weekdays the thought of making dinner is too much to bear. I have a 45 minute commute and when I get home, the last thing I want to is get in the kitchen and think of something to make. I have learned how to make some fast and quick meals. One of my favorite go to meals is spaghetti and meat sauce.

I love making spaghetti because I can make a tasty meal under 30 minutes. It is low stress and always comforting and delicious. I used to use bottle pasta sauce but when I found out how much sugar and sodium is in the sauce, I started using canned tomatoes because I can control the ingredients.

Recently, I was given the chance to try Tuttorosso Tomatoes. I have never tried them before which is surprising because Tuttorosso Tomatoes are super popular in North Carolina, where I live.   Here is a little info on Tuttorosso Tomatoes:
As company background, the Red Gold company (which makes the Tuttorosso brand) has been around since the 1940s focused on growing local in the Midwest (Indiana, Michigan and Ohio) where true seasons impact the flavor of tomatoes. The Midwest, while it's cold in the winter, has the perfect growing season for tomatoes, perfect angle of the sun, perfect temps -- and even the winter is good for tomatoes, as it breaks up the soil for tiny root systems.

When I came home the other day, it was one of those "I Don't  Want TO Cook" days. I was tired and wasn't sure if I had anything to cook. But I saw the Tuttorosso Tomatoes I had received, found some ground beef in the fridge and started to cook up a storm.

For this meal, I decided to use the Tuttorosso Crushed Tomatoes with Basil. I chose this because the tomatoes had basil. My basil plants are dead and I wanted the basil in the taste. I took the meat and browned it with some onions and garlic. Then I added the tomatoes and a little red wine. I let that simmer for about 30 minutes and then added a knob of butter and a little olive oil to finish off the sauce.

In the meantime, I started the pasta. Once the pasta was done, I out it into the sauce and then added some shaved Parmesan cheese and some garlic toast to finish off the meal. It was that easy. It was also really tasty. I really loved this tomato sauce. The tomatoes tasted fresh. A lot fresher than the usual canned tomatoes I use.

I will definitely being buying this brand from now on. I am glad I was able to discover Tuttorosso. I cannot wait for the next meal with Tuttorosso tomatoes.

And, I know y'all love giveaways so you need to visit the Tuttorosso Facebook page because they are having a great sweepstakes.
