Nutrisystem Nation Week 8 Update! #spon
This week I got back on the horse and started exercising. I know that's the key to weight loss. I am now down 10 pounds!!
I have nothing else to report. But I am going to share a creative use of my Nutrisystem food.
With Nutrisystem you get a breakfast item, a lunch item, a dinner entree and a dessert item. During the day, you supplement the Nutrisystem meals with Smart Carbs, Power Fuels, Vegetables and there are some free foods.
Well, on St. Patrick's Day, I decided to take 2 of my meals and make myself a special St. Patty's day treat. I took my Sloppy Joe mix Dinner and my Loaded Mashed Potatoes lunch and made Shepard's Pie. I added a little horseradish and peas and carrots to the Sloppy Joe mix. I then placed the mix into a ramekin.
I took the mashed potatoes and put them on top. and then added a little low fat cheese on top. It was so delicious.
It is actually quite fun trying to take the Nurtrisystem food and transforming it to something else. It also spices up the food. I usually like most of the food but there are some items that need a little jazzing up.
Well, that's my Nutrisystem recipe update for this week. I am hoping to reach 10 pounds next week. My hubby is away in China this week so I don't have to cook. And I love my cooking and am always tempted when I cook! That also leaves me no excuse not to exercise.
