OrganicGirl Good Clean Greens Review + Giveaway!

As you all know, I am on a journey to get fit. I am on Nutrisystem for four months and hopefully I can lose at least 20 pounds. I am also exercising and eating better foods. So when I was asked to review organicgirl greens, I was all over that.

I had never heard of organicgirl greens. Then again, I live in the boonies and I can barely find brands name stuff in our local store. But since I am looking for good products, I was more than happy to review organicgirl products.

Here is a little about organicgirl good clean greens:
Plain and simple, organicgirl began with a small group of women and men in California's fertile Salinas Valley who wanted to offer the best organic produce available. organicgirl is both men and women alike who enjoy healthy, fresh, sustainable produce grown in harmony with Mother Nature.
With a unique approach to organic growing, organicgirl rejects produce that just “isn't good enough,” and uses earth-friendly 100% recycled plastic packaging for every
single one of its products!
How can you not love that? I know that my change in diet has included different food and definitely more greens. And organicgirl fits right into my new lifestyle.

I received the following products:

SuperGreens! - As salad mix with baby red chard, baby tat soi, baby spinach, baby green swiss chard, baby arugula - This was delicious. I made this into a salad with a little crumbled bleu cheese, chopped walnuts, dried cranberries and a homemade balsamic vinaigrette!

i heart baby kale –  tender, tasty baby kale, tango, baby spinach, baby green chard, green romaine, baby green oakleaf lettuce  - I did not use this yet but plan to make a Kale, Mushroom and garlic side dish. I rarely eat Kale but this is one of the greens I need to start eating because I heard great things!

baby spinach – Just baby spinach leaves - this salad was great ad I made my famous spinach and cherry tomato mixture that I use with pasta. (recipe below) Delicious!! The spinach was fresh and delicious!

All products are washed 3 times so there is no need to worry about germs or other stuff on the greens. They were fresh and delicious.

Here is the willy-nilly recipe for my spinach dish. It is the easiest thing ever and it goes with so many things. You can use it as a side dish or mix it with pasta and make a meal.

Add oil to a pan. Add the baby spinach and cherry tomatoes and saute them. Add the garlic, salt and pepper. Mix and saute until the garlic softens ad the tomatoes start to pop.

That's it. I used gnocchi for this recipe. So I just mixed the gnocchi with the spinach mixture and added a little Parmesan cheese at the end. I also love this recipe with orzo!

If you wanted a quick and easy side dish, add some feta cheese to the mixture and serve as a side. For a fancier version, hollow out a tomato and add the spinach, tomato and feta mixture in the hollowed out tomato and roast until it softens. This is great for a dinner party.

This recipe is great for any season and any occasion  I have served it with crostini at parties. The main thing is to have fresh ingredients and organigirl baby spinach was perfect. It was fresh and delicious!

And now organicgirl will be featured on Season 3 of All Mixed Up, the successful reality-based cooking series that airs on Lifetime TV. organicgirl good clean greens will take center stage as one of the ingredients used in the creative dishes. And, Margaret Scattini, co-founder brand ambassador of organicgirl will be featured on season 3 of All Mixed Up as one of the panel judges who will share her company’s history and passion for good clean greens. The episode will air March 15, 22 and 29.

I loved the organicgirl greens and will be buying them if they ever come to Sylva, NC. The good thing is that they are available in Asheville!  For more information on organicgirl products and store locations, visit the organicgirl site.

And for those of you who love greens like I do and want to get healthier, I have a great giveaway. I have a few organicgirl full value coupons to giveaway! Just enter on the Rafflecopter widget below! Good Luck!
