Our poor kitty Scout can't come and she will be left with our wonderful House/Cat Sitter, Melody!

ReplyDeleteHow fun! Here's a travel tip I received from a seasoned world traveler and have used many times myself. Pack older semi wornout clothes for your travels (including ready to be tossed underwear). Wear the clothes and underwear and then discard them in Europe. You'll have more room in your bags for gifts and less dirty laundry when you get home. Some people buy t-shirts of the places they visit and those are their shirts to wear on the trip.
ReplyDeleteAlso check Rick Steves website for more hints , tips, and especially travel safety. Our travel group had numerous people who met pickpockets (including small kids) on the Metro in Paris, and on the streets of Barcelona and Madrid. During a ride on the night train into Spain ( I forget if it was to Madrid or Barcelona), the people in the train car in front of ours were robbed in the middle of the night by thieves who jumped on and off the train. I had read about that on Rick Steve's website and the group leader had not heard of that happening when I told him about it before our trip. So I was not surprised to hear it had happened the next morning. Knowledge is power! Be safe, have fun!
