It's summertime and that means that our outdoor space is going to be put to good use. We are really lucky because we have several outdoor spaces that we can utilize during the summer. We have a huge side yard where we have our garden.
We have 2 porches where we can sit out and relax. Our front porch has a view of the river, so we live out there during those long summer evenings. Our backyard has a wonderful area where we have our grill and a table where we entertain.
The problem is that during winter, all our furniture and outdoor areas get grungy and we need to clean them up before we start using them. It takes us a while to get outside and clean up the table and furniture. We need to start putting back the cushions and other accessories. It is a lot of work.
Luckily, design and DIY expert Sarah Saucedo from Thrifty Décor Chick is here to save the day! I was given the opportunity to ask Sarah some questions about my concerns for my outdoor spaces. She was kind enough to answer them on the video below! Check out Sarah's tips below!
I loved her tips and was glad to hear that I asked some good questions. I want to thank Sarah Saucedo for these great answers to my questions. I learned a lot and will be implementing some of these tips to make my outdoor space better this summer!
Thanks to P&G and Home Depot, I also have this wonderful prize pack to give away thanks to P&G and Home Depot. The prize pack includes a Home Depot card, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Outdoor Pro, Mr. Clean Outdoor Pro Multi-Purpose Spray, and Bounty Paper Towels!

Keeping outdoor spaces organized and we use a power washer yearly to keep things cleaned
ReplyDeleteI have no yard :( ... so I spruce up my fence with a hanging garden and my teeny tiny "patio" (barely big enough for a lawn chair) with container flowers.
ReplyDeleteGive the entire patio and patio fruniture a spray down with the garden hose after winter.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip for outdoor spaces is to reduce clutter. Nothing ever looks good when it's overcrowded. It looks junky like that, so have a yard sale.

ReplyDeleteFlowers everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteSpend 10 minutes sprucing up everytime you go out to enjoy your space, then you're never overwhelmed (and you'll enjoy it a lot more!)
ReplyDeleteMy deck has lots of shade with trees but I have to use my blower to keep it clean. I have seating that dries easily if rained on or dew covered, thin mesh. And if you plan on spending time outside, spray the area ahead of time for pests! In the midwest, we cant outside without spraying for mosquitos, and use citronella candles.
