I remember when I was young, I would live in the sun. I would love to get tanned. Me and my sister would head out to the beach or pool and spend hours in the sun. Back then, we had no idea about how dangerous that was.

That changed how I looked at tanning and the sun. From then on, I decided that I was going to take better care when I was out in the sun. And I also decided that I really didn't need to get so much sun. Even when we go on vacation to a beach resort, I try to always find shade.
During the summer, I am out almost every day in the garden. The first year we moved here to North Carolina and I was out on a gloomy day, I didn't wear sunscreen. My face and arms got sunburned. I now know that I have to be very careful when I am out and about.
One of the best sunscreens I have used is from the Neutrogena Suncare line. I have used Neutrogena for several years now. I have found that Neutrogena really helps protect my skin from the harmful UV rays but it also keeps my skin in good shape as well.
The Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen is fantastic. I have oily skin and if I use regular sunscreen, my face can break out. The Ultra Sheer Dry Touch goes on smoothly and is not greasy. Yet, I get all the protection I need. It is perfect for daily use because it doesn't leave my skin shiny and really protects.
Neutrogena also has a great new program. The Buy 1 + Donate 1 campaign focuses on getting protection to those families who might not be able to afford sunscreen for themselves or their kids. When you buy one of the Neutrogena SPF products this summer, Neutrogena will donate one product to a needy family. They are donating up to $10 million dollars worth of product. That is amazing.
So remember, if you need to buy sunscreen this summer (and you should) think about buying a Neutrogena SPF product. Not only because the products are great but because you will be helping someone who might not have the resources to buy sunscreen for their kids.
Disclosure: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Latina Bloggers Connect and Neutrogena.
