I was watching the new Planters Peanut video: A Gift from Nature. It got me thinking how amazing nature is sometimes. Nature has a way of creating foods that are not only delicious but also almost perfect. There are a few foods that are close to perfect. Eggs, bananas, oranges and peanuts come to mind. These foods come in their own little package. They are portable and delicious. They are also good for you!
For me, peanuts are wonderful because they can 6 essential nutrients and 7 grams of proteins. As I age, I am finding myself seeking out things that are healthier for me. Whether it be exercising more, eating less and better or just having a change of attitude, anything that helps me have a better life is something I will sign up for.
I have also learned that nature gives us these gifts and we should take advantage of them. Every summer I plant a garden filled with fresh veggies because that is the gift that nature gives us if we are willing to put in a little work and effort into harvesting it. It is important to me and my family to have fresh foods that give us not only sustenance but nutrients. What better way to harness the power of nature then to be able to grow your own food?
Harnessing the power of the peanut or any other food is something I am trying to do in my everyday life. It is especially important because it is essential to be able to make sure that your body runs like a well-oiled machine. It is important to eat wholesome foods for our health.
So next time you reach for the junk food, think twice. It might be better to reach for a gift of nature like the peanut. Check out the video below and see if it motivates you to make a small change for your health.
