I chopped up the leftover hamburgers. I used one can of diced tomatoes with green chilies, two cans of sweet onion diced tomatoes and one can of kidney beans.
I added the tomatoes and beans into one large pot and then added cumin, coriander, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
I added the hamburger to the mix.
I added half a bottle of beer to add a little flavor.
I let it cook for a few hours.
I served it with cheese and onions! It was delish!
Buen Provecho!
Well, I've gotten two good ideas from this post: One, using leftover hamburgers as a base for chili, and two, adding beer to chili for a flavor boost. Thanks!
ReplyDeletewow this looks amazing, so easy to! This would be a great dinner for one of those days where you have limited time, I would definitely put this in a crock pot.
ReplyDeleteThis does look so good Carolyn. I love chili, now in the mood to make some and will have to try this with the beer in it. I've never thought or heard of that before but I know it can be awesome with chicken as well
ReplyDeleteThis sounds good!!! I'd never throw out leftover hamburgers, but this sure is way nicer than a warmed up dried out burger!!!
