Okay, this post is a little TMI. But I turned 50 this year and I believe I am going through menopause. Now, for me, this is a great thing. I have never wanted kids so this frees me up from that worry but there are also a lot of other problems and issues that are coming my way.

Recently, I have been experiencing the dreaded hot flashed that come along with menopause. Let me tell you that hot flashes are not fun. I get them at night. I always think that maybe our heat is up to high but when I turn around and see hubby, who is always warm, covered up I know it is just me.

I have also heard that with menopause comes weight gain. Like I need more weight gain. Sigh. While I embrace menopause I have to be realistic that my body is changing and I need to do something about it.

I have been getting advice right and left about what I need to take. My doctor wants me on hormones but no thanks. I am investigating natural products to ward off the hot flashes and any other things that might be coming my way.
