My "Labor Day" Viewing Party of One + GIVEAWAY!!

These past few months have been crazy. We found out we were moving. We bought a house. We are selling a house. We took a trip to Disneyland/Los Angeles. And I just got back from a trip to Gatlinburg. In between all that, we have to make sure our house is show ready so that means I clean almost everyday. I still have to make dinner, buy groceries and work on both my blogs. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed.

When I get to my breaking point, I take a break. That usually involves me shutting down my computer, putting aside my blog work and vegging out in front of the TV. When I am in this mood, I want a chick flick. Because nothing make me feel better than a romance movie!

I had one of those days this week. With looming deadlines and house showings, I decided to take a break. Luckily, I had just received a really cool pack filled with wonderful goodies. Those goodies included a copy of "Labor Day" starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin. The kit also included the "Labor Day" book, a pie dish, pastry cutter, pie server, wine glasses, an ice cream scoop and the makings for a peach pie.

Why peach pie? I won't give any spoilers but the peach pie is important in the movie. I have said enough.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my "afternoon off". I made my pie in the morning, worked a little and then curled up on my sofa to watch the movie. I had pie and used my wine glasses for milk instead of wine. I love Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin. I loved this movie. My pie was delicious. If pie can't make you feel better, I have no idea what can. After my "me time" I felt better and I was ready to get back int the game!

If you don't already take a little me time for yourself, try it. Have a viewing party of your own and enjoy a good movie like "Labor Day" and, of course, a sweet treat like pie! Of course, if you don't have pie any sweet will do.
