Keep your Skin Looking Luminous and Beautiful this Summer with Jergens! #LuminousSkin

It's summertime and I am glad. We had a brutal winter. Now my skin gets really dry in wintertime. I call it alligator skin. But I am not immune to dry skin in the summer either. With the heat and sun, my skin get dry as well. Even with the humidity here at the beach, I still suffer from dry skin.

I think it is because I am out in the sun. We also are going to enjoy the beach this summer since we moved to coast. And do not forget the pools! I love pools. So I suspect that my skin will suffer and I will have to take steps to make sure I keep it moisturized and healthy.

I'm the little one on the left!

I remember when I was little, our abuelita used to warn us about the sun. Even with the suntan lotion we used, we would get sunburn or our skin would dry out. Our abuelita always had the aloe vera ready to rub on our sunburn. She also used to use petroleum jelly or coconut oil to keep our skin smooth. I hated them both because the coconut oil and petroleum jelly were always greasy and sticky. I always felt uncomfortable after the application and it used to get on our clothes and hair. I loved my abuelita but I would always go and wipe it off.

Nowadays, we have great lotions to use for our skin. I let the petroleum jelly and coconut oil go a long time ago. Now, I use lotions that are made for trouble skin. This summer, I will be using JERGENS® Shea Beauty Oil and BB Body Skin Perfecting lotion to keep my skin moisturized. I received the products and after a few days, I can tell you that my skin is looking radiant and healthy.

I recently came back from Costa Rica and my dad, who was sick, wanted to head to the beach for a few days to relax. It was wonderful but the sun and the pool chlorine left my skin dry. Although I used sunscreen, it is not the same as a good body lotion. When I got back home, I started a regiment of the JERGENS®  Shea Beauty Oil and BB Body Cream on my skin. It was the thing my skin needed. I was worried the Shea Butter Oil would be greasy. It wasn't. Of course when it goes on, it feels oily but then soaked into my skin without any greasy residue. It also had a wonderful light scent that made me smell wonderful.

The BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream came in two different shades: medium and light. Right now my skin needs medium for the summer because I got a little bit of a tan. The light BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream will be used during the winter when my skin gets lighter due to lack of sun! The BB Body Skin Perfecting Cream went on smoothly and had a stronger fragrance than the Shea Oil but it it was still light enough not to be overpowering.

It is so important for me to take care of my skin now that I am older. But, then again, skin care is important at any age. The sun and chlorine will damage your skin and you need to keep it hydrated and moisturized. If you get alligator skin during summer, you need to check out these JERGENS® products. They left my skin, especially my legs, luminous and fresh. Now that I am using skirts and dresses, my legs need to look gorgeous. And, they do!

  1. My skin in the last year or two has begun to show some age spots and sun spots. I wish I had taken better care of my skin when I was a kid and teenager.

  2. I did not even know that Jergens has BB cream for the skin. I like these products a lot and need to try them. The Shea beauty oil looks great and a nice oil to help me hydrate my dry skin. You look so cute in the picture with your Dad and sister in your swimsuit.

  4. Growing up Jergens was the only lotion I can remember my mom having in the house. I can still see the pretty white bottle with the black pump. I haven't used it in years so I didn't realize that they made these. I love the idea of the BB lotions!
