Kontos Foods Review and Giveaway!

There are few items I buy from the grocery store. I am trying to cut down on processed foods. But there are some items I need to buy because I cannot or will not make them. One of those items is bread. I love bread and, sometimes, I make it but it is a lot of work. I also cannot make my the specialty breads yet.

Luckily, I can buy find the specialty breads that are better than most and delicious as well.  One of those brands is Kontos Foods. Kontos Foods makes several different varieties of products. Founded in 1987, Kontos Foods, Inc. is a Paterson, NJ-based provider of traditional Mediterranean foods for restaurants, hotels, food service, retail specialty stores and supermarkets worldwide. The family-owned company specializes in hand-stretched flatbreads, including the Kontos Pocket-Less Pita®, Fillo dough, pastries, olives, gyro meats, and Greek yogurts, as well as nearly 50 varieties of multi-ethnic flatbreads.

I received a variety of Kontos products to review. I received Greek Lifestyle Flatbread, Pizza Parlor Crust 12/5 and an assortment of Retail Assorted Baklava. The products have been fantastic.

The Baklava was devoured in days. It was sweet and sticky and delicious as Baklava should be. I even gave some to the neighbors who loved it as well. The Flatbread was really delicious as well. It has lower carbs and less sugar than most bread so that was a plus for me. My favorite though was the Pizza Parlor Crust. I like making my own dough but sometimes I am too busy so I buy store bought crust or flatbread. This one is one of my favorites now.

I really like these products and will continue using them because they are delicious. I like that Kontos Foods offers several varieties of products. If you are looking for an alternative to regular bread, Kontos products might be the right thing for you. I can't wait to try the Fillo dough and pita bread. And I love the fact they have olives and cheese.
