Cedar Lane Tamales Review and Giveaway!

Usually when I am asked to review food products, I say yes. Sometimes I have to say no because I am trying to give up processed foods and trying to get healthier. That is not saying I don't eat processed foods. There are times I eat the bad stuff but have cut down a lot.

Then there are times I get offered healthier food to review. I love trying these new foods because they sometimes give me the flavor without the guilt. One of these products are the new Cedar Lane tamales. The Cedar Lane tamales are gluten-free, a good source of protein, high in fiber, and vegetarian.

Now, I LOVE tamales. Tamales are something I grew up eating. It is tough to find tamales where I live. And, frankly, I am too lazy to make them myself. Tamales are a lot of work. So if I can go to a restaurant or buy them at the store, that makes me happy.

I received a variety of Cedar Lane Tamales that included:
* Chile & Cheese Tamales
* Roasted Vegetable Tamales
* Spinach & Feta Cheese Tamales
* Sweet Corn Tamales

These were delicious. I am very picky about the masa (dough) used in tamales because it is my favorite part. The masa in these tamales was very good. My favorites were the Chile and Cheese and Spinach and Feta Cheese tamales. The Sweet Corn were a little too sweet for me because I am all about spice and savory tamales. The Roasted Vegetable tamales were quite good as well.

I would definitely buy these again especially when I get my cravings for tamales and I cannot get them anywhere else. I would love having these in my freezer for the times I get my cravings. You can find Cedar Lane tamales nationwide in supermarkets. These make me feel better about eating frozen food.
