NEW! Whole Grain Honey Bunches of Oats Review!


This year has been of changes. Our main change is our eating habits. After Tom's heart bypass, we have had to cut down on salt, fats and sugars. We have had to start eating better and healthier. We are eating more fruit, vegetables and whole grains. We have also had to start eating 3 meals a day. It has been hard because we didn't always eat breakfast and that's the toughest meal for us.

Luckily, I was asked to review the new whole grain Honey Bunches of Oats. Since I am now looking for new products to incorporate into our lifestyle, I said yes. I know it has sugars and fat but before we give up everything, we have to start somewhere. With Tom, I have to slowly wean him off the bad foods and get him used to eating healthier.



The new whole grain Honey Bunches of Oats were the place to start. With no trans fat, it is already better for him than eggs or other breakfast foods. I also know he is getting his fiber which he needs to keep his digestive health up and also a diet high in fiber helps reduce heart disease and lowers cholesterol.

For us, it is a great alternative to more sugary cereals and fatty foods. Plus, it tastes good. It tastes really really good. The grains stay crunchy in milk and with the little bunches of vanilla and honey, it makes for a great pick me up in the morning. It is also a good treat for us since we have started to eat less flavorful food!



We alternate Honey Bunches of Oats with oatmeal and egg white omelettes but it is an always welcome treat in the morning. If Tom likes it, then we will keep it in our breakfast rotation.

It comes in 2 flavors: Honey Bunches of Oats Whole Grain with Vanilla Bunches and Honey Bunches of Oats Whole Grain Honey Crunch. Both are delicious! Try it if you need to have more fiber in your diet yet want a tasty meal in the morning. Don't say anything but I also eat it as a treat at night!

  2. I love Eating Honey bunches of oats and think that this cereal is one of the healthiest at the grocery store. I am glad that Tom is eating healthy and likes this cereal. I could eat it every day!!

  4. You might consider smoothies for breakfast. You know exactly what's in them and you can add whatever fruits (or even veggies) that you like.

  7. Honey Bunches of Oats is my favorite cereal. To make it that much more healthy, I have it with almond milk and sometimes I sprinkle vanilla whey protein or ground flax seed over the top.
