Small Gardening with CedarCraft!

My life has been crazy lately. Between the new job and Tom's bypass, I have been so busy to do anything. Luckily, my mom came to help me through this tough time. While she was here, she took it upon herself to plant some vegetables and herbs in my garden. I am so glad she did because there was no way that either Tom or I would have had the time to do so.

One thing that made it easy for my mom was our new Urban Garden Planter by CedarCraft. Because our new house does not have the huge yard we had in the mountains, we needed to find a new and more compact way to plant fresh herbs and veggies. We have two small plots in the back yard and that is it.

We also have some containers near the kitchen door but the new Urban Garden Planter is exactly what we needed. The planter is made with untreated 100% sustainably grown durable Western Red Cedar. Best of all, no trees are specifically harvested to make CedarCraft planters. They are all made from leftover material. The planter was easy to assemble and came with its own tools. It took us minutes to assemble. If I can do it, anyone can.

It is also elevated and has a lot of space. The planter also includes a liner. It is sturdy and holds up to all kinds of weather. The elevated planter really helped my mom be able to plant herbs without having to get on her hands and knees to plant. It also has a handy shelf to hold tools. Because it is portable, it is easy to move around if we want to place it elsewhere. We have three herb plants planted but there but can easily fit there more.

The elevation also keeps our plants safe from the rabbit that lives in our yard. It also keeps the squirrels away. Our plants are safe. What I love is that we have it outside of the kitchen door and when I need some herbs, I can walk out and snip some easily. I also love that it looks pretty. The planter is very attractive and I have gotten some compliments from our neighbor who wants to buy one as well!

CedarCraft has other great planters as well. I am in love with the cascading garden planter. This is something I want for our front porch. The other elevated planters are great as well. The ability to be able to garden in a small amount of space is great for us.

If you love to garden but do not have the space, CedarCraft products are perfect. these are great for patios, balconies or small yards. It has been ideal for us. I was so glad it was easy for my mother to do a little gardening while we were dealing with other issues. Now we are guaranteed fresh herbs this summer. And when it starts getting colder, I can use the Urban Garden Planter for heartier plants for winter.

  4. We rent, so I haven't had a garden in years. I do plant some containers of herbs and cherry tomatoes, but I love that planter. It would be perfect for our situation.

  9. That is one good looking planter. It looks like it will last forever (are those 3"x3" legs?) I love the idea and look of this...I really like that's it's so high off the ground. looking at it I think it would be easy to make it into a mini-greenhouse too for the colder weather or to start seeds early. Congrats on getting this, I'm so jealous.
