Shutterfly Holiday Books Make the Fiestas Felices! #MiVidaShutterfly

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMeMedia and Shutterfly. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

About a month ago, our house was robbed and my laptop was taken. Along with it, went many of my pictures that I had not backed up. Unfortunately, I lost many of my family memories especially the ones from my trips to Costa Rica.

I then had to create a photo book but I had few pictures to choose from. I looked through what I had and decided to create a special book for my hubby. This year has actually been pretty crazy and I wanted to give him something that would surprise him. I couldn't surprise him with a cool Shutterfly Spanish book but I was lucky I found a flash drive with our European pictures so I decided to make him a European Travel Book.

I really wanted to use one of the new Shutterfly Spanish language designs because they are really cool. There were two that I could choose from. I loved the South American book and because going to South America is on our bucket list, I suspect that one day I will have pictures to fill that book! The other design was Mi Familia! This is the book I wanted to make using my old pictures from my many travels to Costa Rica with my hubby. I am hoping that one day I have enough time to find and copy some of those pictures from my blog and social media channels to create this book. The embellishments are so cool.

I went with a travel book though because that is what we are passionate about. We travel as much as we can and it is important to us to do so. I was just glad that I could find enough pictures to fill a book. It made me happy that I was able to create something.

Creating a photo book with Shutterfly is easy and fun. You can have total control or you can upload the pictures and let Shutterfly do it for you.  You can choose a theme and then go from there. Each book has specific borders, frames, embellishments and fonts.

When I made my book, I chose the Europe Vacation theme and it allowed me to add things like the Union Jack, the Eiffel Tower and other cool images and words. It was fund putting together the book. I am just glad I found enough pictures!

When the book came, I had to hide it from hubby but he did ask because he saw that wonderful Orange package. I said it was more of my holiday cards. It is beautiful and I am proud of it. I will wrap it up nicely and put it under the tree.

Photos books are a wonderful way to share your life with family. They are also a great way to preserve your memories in a creative way. I am not very crafty or good at design but Shutterfly allowed me to make something that looked like I was.

Making a photo book on Shutterfly was so much fun and the price is not out of control. I was inspired to make one for my parents. I have to start finding all my old photos and scanning them so I can make a Mi Familia book with photos when me and my sister were little. I think they would love it. I and I love that I can use captions in Spanish and use embellishments that are from my heritage.

In the meantime, the European Travel Photo Book will be waiting for my husband under the tree this year. I think he will like it. Remember, if you want to surprise a loved one this holiday season, check out Shutterfly for cards, photos books and even personalized gifts.

  1. I've heard of Shutterfly, but have yet to try it. It does look like it would be pretty easy to make a photo book.
