I am pretty sure I got on the list because I gave money to the Obama campaign for years. But I also know people who have given more and don't get the card every year. I also visited the White House a few years ago through a blogging group. Whatever the reason, I have been receiving the White House Christmas card for years. I never expect it but when I get it, I am always thrilled. Yes, I get millions of people get the card but there are also millions who don't. And it's no secret I admire the Obama family. I may not always agree with the president but I love him and think he and his family are amazing.
Last year, my Christmas card caused waves in Bulgaria. You have to read
this post but the short story is that someone in Bulgaria (the Prime Minister) said he received a card from the President. Apparently someone then did a little investigating and found out that millions of these cards get sent out and called this guy out. They linked to my post and I had steady traffic from Bulgaria. It was pretty funny. I hope this one doesn't cause havoc.
