  10. Do you have elderly pets? Try this easy cleaning recipe: Mix 2 cups cleaning vinegar with 1 tablespoon pure mint extract. Rub stains or area that need cleaning with a paste of baking soda mixed with ater, then add a good douse of the scented vinegar, allow to set for 15 minutes, wipe clean: Works on shower stalls, tile and metal surfaces.

  11. My tip is to start at the top and work your way down - meaning start by cleaning Ceiling Fans, then windows, and so forth. This helps you not have to do work twice because if you did the floors first - then you may have to redo some of your work if you do it the other way.

  17. Take it one room at a time. Don't move onto another room until the first room is completely done! That way when you start the next room, you've got that huge feeling of accomplishment fueling you!

  19. My only tip is dont do it all willy nilly. Start in one area, then move to another. Have a 'staging' are for places for things to donate, give away or even resell.

  22. My tips for Spring cleaning are to fill a caddy with all your cleaning supplies, so you can carry it around & you have all your supplies together with you! Also, clean from top to bottom!

  25. My tip for cleaning is to clean fast...and I clean fast by listening to fast paced music. The cleaning is more tolerable, I seem to work faster and I get it all done quicker.

  32. I gather all my cleaning materials in a basket that stays in the room I'm cleaning until I go to the next. I have a container for trash and one for Goodwill. Like my Mother says, "Rome wasn't built in a day".

  116. I read the book "Spark Joy" and it really helped with my cleaning & organizing. To go by doing specific things first.. not just room by room. I really think that book helped wonders with spring cleaning.. it helps clean by a different perspective

  122. My tip is to tackle a room each day. That way you don't overwhelm yourself. And have totes for donating, tossing, and items that belong in other rooms. And if you have not worn certain clothing in a year, time to chuck it. None of that, "If I loose 10 more lbs, it will fit" stuff.

  172. If you try to get it all done with in a short amount of time, it become overwhelming very quickly. So set reachable goals for each day. Have everyone pitch in, and have fun music playing, everyone can sing along. Makes it go much faster and doesn't seem as much like work.
