When I was little, Easter was a huge day for our family. Every year, we got new Easter dresses and shoes. Some years we were given hats and purses. Then we were presented a huge Easter basket filled with goodies. Easter morning we would get all dressed up and went to church.
After church, we came back home and prepared for our big Easter party. We had friends and family over and my mom made ham, mashed potatoes and other fixings. In the meantime, my sister and I would color Easter eggs. My grandmother or dad would then go and hide them in the backyard so we could have an Easter Egg hunt.
Easter was a fun and special day for the family. If Easter is as special for your family as it was for mine, you want to make it special for your kids.
I also added plain hard boiled eggs. Sharpies, markers and stickers are also in the basket to make sure kids can decorate the eggs the way they want. I also added Halos.
I remember when I was little, we would eat a lot of eggs and that wasn't that healthy. Halos are a better option. Plus, they are easy to decorate, color and eat! You can add bunny ears to the Halos. You can add a chick's beak. You can get super creative. And once the kids decorate the Halos, they have a fun snack as well!
This Easter get really creative and give the kids Halos instead of candy! I have a wonderful gift prize for one lucky reader. I have a Halo gift basket filled with Halos, a drawstring bag, lunch bag, sunglasses and more.
