Taco Pie

This recipe is so good! If you love tacos and pie, you will love this. It's pretty easy and delicious. What I love about this recipe is that it was something different for Taco Tuesday. I love tacos but every so often, I want a change. The change is usually hard vs. soft tacos.

This recipe was a welcome change and hubby loved it. And I love tacos any which way!

Chop onions and poblano chile.

Saute in a pan.

Oil the pie plate and add some of the canned tomatoes.

Place tortillas into the pie plate.

Add meat to pan and cook. Once it is cooked add tomatoes, cinnamon and chili powder.

Add mixture on top of the tortillas.

Add cheese.

Arrange the tortilla strips on top of the meat.

Add more cheese and bake.

YUMMO!!

Delish!!!

Taco Pie

1 can of diced tomatoes, drained.
1 packet of ground beef
1 poblano pepper chopped
6 flour tortillas
1 small onion chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cumin
salt
pepper
shredded cheese
cilantro

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

spray the pie plate with PAM or add oil and add a few of the tomatoes to the bottom. Arrange the tortilla on the pie plate. They will overlap.

Cook the poblano and onions until soft. Add the meat and cook. Once the meat is done add the rest of the tomatoes, chili powder and cinnamon.

Spoon mixture over the tortillas and add some cheese. Cut the remaining tortillas in strips and place on top of the mixture, Top with more cheese.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Take out and let stand. Slice to serve!
